General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information from individuals who live in and outside of the European Union (EU)

Introduction and Data Collection Consent
Thank you for choosing to work with Nutri-tic Nutrition on your health journey. As part of our sessions, I'll need to collect and use some of your personal and health information. This is to ensure I can provide you with safe, effective, and personalized guidance. Your privacy is a top priority, and I comply with GDPR to protect your data."

Data Usage Explanation
"The information I collect will be used strictly for nutritional assessment, planning, and communication with you. This may include your contact information, health history, dietary preferences, and goals. I may also keep records of our sessions and progress over time to help improve your plan."

Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure
"Your data will not be shared with any third parties without your explicit consent, except in cases where sharing is legally required. If at any point I believe a referral to another professional could benefit you, I will discuss this with you and ask for your permission."

Data Storage and Retention
"I securely store your information electronically and/or in physical format, with appropriate safeguards to prevent unauthorized access. Your data will be kept only as long as necessary to provide you with effective care and to meet legal or regulatory requirements. Generally, this means keeping records for a minimum of 8 years  from our last session, inline with the BDA guidance for record keeping."

Your Rights Under GDPR
"Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your data at any time. You may also request to restrict or object to how your data is processed. If you have any concerns or would like to exercise any of these rights, please let me know, and I will assist you."

Consent
"By booking any nutrition appointment means you are consenting to using your information as described. Your consent means that you understand and agree to the collection, use, and storage of your personal information for the purposes discussed. You can withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the support you receive."

"Thank you for trusting me with your health information. Please feel free to reach out anytime with questions about your privacy or rights regarding your data."
